His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, the 15th Oniru of Iruland, is the police officer behind the governor. He served as the Aide-de-Camp Commander here. In June 1999, he was named the Aide-de-Camp/Escort Commander to Bola Tinubu, who was the governor of Lagos State at the time. He held this position until 2007, when Tinubu resigned.
Later, from December 2008 to July 2011, he served as Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola’s Senior Special Assistant (Special Projects).
