Mide Martins, an actress and producer in Nollywood, is her daughter. Funmi Martins was born in Osun State’s Ilesa in 1963. She lived her entire life in Ibadan and Lagos.
Funmi Martins began her modeling career in the early to late 1980s.In the 1993 film Nemesis, she made her acting debut under the guidance of Adebayo Salami. She continued to appear in films after that until her passing in 2002.
At the age of 38, Funmi Martins passed away from cardiac arrest on May 6, 2002.
